I have been waiting to tell this story since the moment I met Catherine & Rob! The story of our 1st meeting sets the stage for how special this wedding really was!
Our meeting started out like any other potential client meeting I have. We met at my office and just chatted away about everything from the wedding to how they met. I always have my phone on me in case of emergencies with my children but I always have the ringer off and barely ever turn it on. I placed my phone as usual on the table, ringer off, and didn’t think anything of it until towards the end of the meeting my phone all of a sudden started playing music. It just happened to play the only song by Jack Johnson, “As I Was Saying”, that I have. I was embarrassed at first and quickly apologized and turned off my phone. Catherine turned to her mother as tears welled up in both their eyes. I thought, great I’ve blown the meeting and done something stupid! I asked if everything was OK and Catherine proceeded to tell me why everything was wonderful. She had lost her brother 10 years ago at the young age of 18. Her brother loved the singer Jack Johnson and had introduced him and his music to his family. Catherine said that most of the pivotal moments in her life have been accompanied by a Jack Johnson song. When she chose her dress, a Jack Johnson song came on in the dress shop and now in the middle of meeting their a possible photographer, a Jack Johnson song had come on. She said she knew right then and there that this was the right choice. It still gives me chills just thinking about it!
June 10th could not have been a more perfect day for a more perfect couple to have their perfect wedding day. The sun was shining, the guests were happy, and Catherine and Rob got to see each other for the first time under a stunning set of oak trees at the always amazing, Wachesaw Plantation. The expression on Rob’s face the first time he saw his bride was all you needed to see to know that nothing could be more perfect than that moment.
Catherine and Rob chose some of the most wonderful vendors in town to help pull off the special day. Kelly with Little shop of Flowers showed off her skills with a stunning bridal bouquet and floral arrangements. Fancy Frocks helped Catherine choose her stunning gown. Pawleys Island Bakery made an absolutely delicious cake!! Carolina Limousine provided their beautiful white trolley. DJ Scott and Company kept the guests dancing until well into the night. Gigi Noelle Events helped orchestrate this perfect day so that nothing could go wrong.
This is definitely one of those weddings I will never forget. A big thank you to Catherine and Rob for allowing me to create these images of your perfect day. I wish you guys 10 lifetimes of happiness!!
