Katie and Keith’s Fabulous Hawksdene Wedding in Andrews, NC

What is a wedding really?  Well it’s the joining of 2 people in love wanting to spend the rest of their lives together.  It’s about having the most important people in your life witness that joining and help support that path you have chosen to start your own family.  Family and friends are everything to Katie & Keith.  Their wedding day reflected that, and when the Mother of the Bride is an amazing wedding planner, Katie & Keith threw a wedding party that was one for the ages!

The only real stipulation that Katie & Keith had was that they be surrounded by family and friends the entire event.  So they chose a stunning little venue in the mountains in Andrew, NC called Hawksdeen.  The venue was able to house all of the guests so that meant the gatherings each night went well into the night.  Katie is a lady that knows exactly what she wants!  She had so many details planned so far ahead, her mother (Debbie, a wedding planner, Events on the 1/2 shell) didn’t have to stress about much for her daughters wedding.  The Florals were done by Callas Florist of Myrtle Beach (and how gorgeous were they?!?) as Andrew had done all of Debbie’s Children’s weddings.  Katie’s Dress had been decided on back in 2012 when she saw Jennifer Lopez wear it on the red carpet and she told her Mom that that was the dress she was going to wear.  And boy does Katie have a fabulous sense of style!  Her outfits for the rehearsal dinner were awesome – and her wedding dress – I would say is my favorite dress of all time!!!  Their day was perfect, from the weather to the family and friends that surrounded them.

I have known Debbie for many years now and I was over the moon excited when she called and asked if I would photograph her daughters wedding.  Katie and I got along from the moment we sat down and I truly enjoyed getting to be a part of this amazing day.  Katie & Keith have a love that can be seen when you watch them together.  I wish them a life time of happiness 🙂
